What Is This Calculator?
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) measures the revenue generated for every dollar spent on advertising. A ROAS of 3.0 means you earn $3 for every $1 spent. It is the most direct measure of advertising profitability.
How to Calculate
To calculate ROAS: 1) Calculate total revenue attributable to your ads. 2) Sum total ad spend. 3) Divide revenue by ad spend. Formula: ROAS = Revenue / Ad Spend. A ROAS above 1.0 means you are making money; the breakeven ROAS depends on your margins.
Examples
Example: Your ads generated $15,000 in revenue on $5,000 spend. ROAS = $15,000 / $5,000 = 3.0x. For every dollar spent, you earned $3.
